How it's cooked (5 steps)
- Brown the chicken pieces in lard, remove, and fry the onion until soft.
- Off the heat, stir in a generous tablespoon of sweet paprika, then add the chicken back with peppers, tomato, garlic, and enough water to half-cover.
- Cover and simmer for 40 minutes until the chicken is very tender.
- Stir together sour cream and a little flour, add to the sauce off the heat, then reheat gently without boiling.
- Serve with galuska or egg noodles.
