How it's cooked (4 steps)
- Blanch large cabbage leaves briefly to soften them, then fill each leaf with a mixture of ground meat, rice, onion, egg, and seasoning, rolling tightly and tucking the ends in.
- Arrange the rolls seam-side down in a baking dish or deep pot and pour over a tomato sauce made from passata, broth, and tomato paste.
- Cover and braise at 170°C for 90 minutes until the meat is cooked through and the sauce is rich.
